The Security and Service Enhancement Initiative at the Ambassador Bridge: Seminar for Carriers, Drivers, Service Providers and Importers

The CBSA's Client Services Windsor office is pleased to offer this seminar as part of a new border clearance outreach program that is intended to provide ongoing, up-to-date information to highway carriers and commercial drivers involved in transporting commercial goods into Canada, particularly at the high-volume border crossings of southern Ontario.

Topics

  • Seminar on the Security and Service Enhancement Initiative

The Security and Service Enhancement Initiative requires all shipments coming into Canada at the Ambassador Bridge to be cleared using existing line release clearance options: CSA (Customs Self Assessment)/FAST (Free and Secure Trade), PARS (Pre-Arrival Review System), FIRST (Frequent Importer Release System), Form A49, post-audit or in-bond. On-site processing of shipments will be limited to specified exceptions; all other shipments must be processed using the existing clearance options.

Who should attend

This seminar provides information on the Initiative, as well as instructions on how to use the acceptable clearance options. It can be tailored for importers, carriers and drivers as required.
