Border Clearance Overview and U.S. Commercial Clearance Overview

The CBSA's Client Services Windsor office is pleased to offer the following seminars as part of a new border clearance outreach program that is intended to provide ongoing, up-to-date information to highway carriers and commercial drivers involved in transporting commercial goods into Canada, particularly at the high-volume border crossings of southern Ontario.

Topics

  • Border Clearance Overview (highway mode)

This seminar covers the basics of crossing the border: driver identification requirements, the most common clearance processes and how they work, and special procedures for using dedicated FAST (Free and Secure Trade) lanes and clearing the Windsor border crossing. It also covers upcoming commercial programs and how to start getting ready for them now.

  • U.S. Commercial Clearance Overview

This seminar is delivered in partnership with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Ben Anderson of the U.S. CBP Detroit field office will be in attendance.
