2014-01-31 U.S. resident sentenced to 3 years in prison for possession of child pornography [News Release] On January 24, 2014, Michael John Jarrett, 43, of Cincinnati, Ohio, was sentenced to 28 months in prison, in addition to eight months of pre-trial custody, after pleading guilty to one count of possession of child pornography and one count of possession of a loaded prohibited firearm under the Criminal Code, and two counts of non-report of goods under the Customs Act. He was also ordered to submit a DNA sample, will be added to the sex offender registry for 20 years and is prohibited from possessing firearms or weapons for 10 years.
