Notice of Initiation of Investigations

Ottawa, August 18, 2017

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) initiated investigations on August 18, 2017, under the Special Import Measures Act respecting the alleged injurious dumping of certain polyethylene terephthalate resin (PET resin) originating in or exported from the People’s Republic of China (China), the Republic of India (India), the Sultanate of Oman (Oman) and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (Pakistan), and the alleged injurious subsidizing of certain PET resin originating in or exported from China, India, Oman and Pakistan. The investigations follow a complaint filed by Compagnie Selenis Canada.
