Amendments to the Delegations of Authority and Designations of Officers by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations

Pursuant to subsection 6(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection ActFootnote 1,
- I hereby designate the person holding the position of President, Executive Vice-President, Vice-President or Associate Vice-President of the Canada Border Services Agency – or a person authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions of one of those positions – as an officer authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions that are described in column 3 of an item in the attached Schedule in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection RegulationsFootnote 2 set out in column 2 of the same item.
- I hereby designate any person holding a position listed in column 4 of an item in the attached Schedule – or a person authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions of that position – as an officer authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions that are described in column 3 of the same item in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations set out in column 2 of the same item.
- I hereby designate the person who has the direct supervisory responsibility of an officer designated under paragraph 2, in respect of the position held by that officer, as an officer authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions that are described in column 3 of the item in the attached Schedule, for which the original officer had been designated, in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations set out in column 2 of the same item.
Pursuant to subsection 6(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act,
- I hereby authorize the person holding the position of President, Executive Vice-President, Vice-President or Associate Vice-President of the Canada Border Services Agency – or a person authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions of one of those positions – to do anything that may be done by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness which is described in column 3 of an item in the attached Schedule in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations set out in column 2 of the same item.
- I hereby authorize any person holding a position listed in column 4 of an item in the attached Schedule – or a person authorized to exercise the powers or perform the duties and functions of that position – to do anything that may be done by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness which is described in column 3 of the same item in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations set out in column 2 of the same item.
- I hereby authorize the person who has the direct supervisory responsibility of a person authorized under paragraph 5, in respect of the position held by that person, to do anything that may be done by the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness which is described in column 3 of the item in the attached Schedule, for which that original person had been authorized, in relation to any provision of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations set out in column 2 of the same item.
