Authorization to have the Authority and Powers of a Peace Officer under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

Pursuant to subsection 138(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, I hereby authorize the officers who hold the following titles to have the authority and powers of a peace officer – including those set out in sections 487 to 492.2 of the Criminal Code – to enforce the Act, including any of its provisions with respect to the arrest, detention or removal from Canada of any person:

• Assistant Director, Enforcement and Intelligence Operations
• Border Services Officer
• Chief of Operations
• Director, Corporate, Programs and Integration Management Division
• Director, Enforcement and Intelligence
• Hearing Advisor (FB-03)
• Hearings Officer
• Intelligence Analyst
• Inland Enforcement Officer
• Intelligence Liaison Officer
• Intelligence Officer
• Investigator
• Manager, Enforcement and Intelligence Operations
• Manager, Regional Programs
• Regional Director General
• Regional Program Officer
• Superintendent
• Supervisor, Inland Enforcement

This Authorization replaces any previous Authorization to have the Authority and Powers of a Peace Officer under the Act, and comes into force on the day on which it is signed.
