Although cannabis has been legalized and regulated in Canada, it remains illegal to bring cannabis (and cannabis products) into or out of Canada – whether it is a gift or for personal use.

That means no importing or exporting, whether it's a gift or for personal use, unless you have a valid permit or an exemption issued by the Government of Canada.

When shopping online, make sure to be buying from a licensed Canadian cannabis retailer to avoid potential delays, enforcement action and even criminal prosecution.
