Instructions
- Acquittal Number: To be completed by importer/broker or the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
- Railway Carrier Code: Indicate the carriers' unique identifier issued by the CBSA to engage in the business of transporting goods in the rail mode.
- Estimated Time of Arrival: Indicate the estimated time of the arrival, when the conveyance and/or cargo will first arrive in Canada.
- Cargo Control Number: List the number that uniquely identifies the shipment to the CBSA. This number consists of the carrier's CBSA assigned carrier code followed by a unique reference number assigned by the carrier.
- Previous Cargo Control Number: Indicate the primary cargo control number if the cargo has been re-manifested.
- Waybill Number: Indicate the number assigned to the waybill (The document containing a list of goods and shipping instructions relative to the shipment).
- Waybill Date: Specify the date of that the waybill.
- Rail Unit Initial & Number: Specify the railroad unit's reporting mark and its fleet identifier.
- Container or Trailer Initial & Number: Indicate the container or trailer identification number that will allow for the efficient tracing of CBSA documentation within the carriers operations/systems.
- Loaded or Empty: Specify whether the container or railcar is empty or transporting one or more consignments.
- Local or Through: Indicate whether the in-transit movement is a Canada- U.S.-Canada movement (Local) or a U.S.-Canada-U.S. movement (Through).
- Manifested From: Indicate the port from where the goods are entering for a through movement or exiting for a local movement.
- Manifested To: Indicate the port from where the goods will be exiting for a through movement or re-entering for a local movement.
- HS Code: Provide the Harmonized System (HS) code for the goods. The Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System "Harmonized System" or simply "HS" is a multipurpose international product nomenclature developed by the World Customs Organization.
- Seal Number: Identify the unique number on the seal used to secure the shipment or cargo in a container.
- Origin Station: Indicate the rail station where the cargo was accepted by the rail carrier.
- Destination Station: Indicate the last rail station that the railway carrier will be moving the goods.
- Country of Origin of Goods: Indicate the country where the goods were produced.
- Country of Destination of Goods: Indicate the country where the goods are intended to move to.
- Description of Goods (including number of packages or Pieces & weight or units): Enter a plain language description of the cargo sufficient to identify it for CBSA purposes.
- Shipper's Name & Address: Enter the name and address of the party shipping the goods as shown on the Bill of Lading.
- Notifying Party: Enter the CBSA identifier of the party that is to receive an electronic notification from the CBSA regarding the shipment.
- Hazardous Goods Indicator: Enter the six character/digit UN code that identifies the hazardous nature of the commodity such as lammable goods, corrosive goods, etc.
- Indicate port of exit with "X": Identify the port where the goods will exit Canada/enter the U.S.
- Consignee Name & Address: indicate the name and address of the party to whom (to which) the cargo/goods are being "shipped to" as shown on the Bill of Lading.
- Shippers Load & Count: Select Yes or No indicating if the cargo is a container or trailer that is loaded by the shipper and sealed.
