Certain Fabricated Industrial Steel Components
Notice of Scope Ruling

Ottawa, January 4, 2019

The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), pursuant to subsection 66(1) of the Special Import Measures Act, (SIMA) made a scope ruling with respect to the goods that were the subject of the application, namely Shanghai Shuangyan Chemical Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd.’s (SSCEM) well pair modules, termination modules and metering modules.

On the basis of the information on the administrative record; consideration of the relevant factors contained in section 54.6 of the Special Import Measures Regulation and any other relevant factors, the CBSA made a scope ruling pursuant to subsection 66(1) of the SIMA that the fabricated industrial steel components portion of SSCEM’s well pair modules, termination modules and metering modules, are subject to the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s finding issued on May 25, 2017, in Inquiry No. NQ-2016-004.
